Student Placements at CAN
A placement at CAN offers a supportive operational environment working with clients affected by the use of alcohol, drugs or homelessness alongside the guidance and supervision of experienced staff.
We can
- Provide Social Work Practice Teachers in Northamptonshire.
- Offer appropriate levels of supervision.
- Offer 1:1 client contact, telephone contact, triage assessment, complex assessment, short and medium term counselling and group work.
- Process CRB checks but not cover the cost.
We cannot
- Reimburse travel, training or other expenses.
- Guarantee use of raw material without client consent.
- Provide purely observational placements.
We expect
- Students to comply with CAN's Policies and Procedures.
- Confirmation of funding before placement commences.

Universities or colleges wishing to place students at CAN will need to provide the following information when considering a referral.

Resident in Beds/Luton: Yes/No
Is placement funded: Yes/No
