CAN has secured a Platinum Charity debenture for the British 10K run over 3 years in order to raise much needed funds to support our work with families and children affected by drug and alcohol problems. This year we have 12 places available, so our message to the runners out there - dust off your trainers, get those legs pumping and run on our behalf!
"For the last three years the race limit has been reached in advance of race day. You are strongly advised to enter NOW to avoid disappointment, for what promises to be a spectacular historic event through the heart of London involving hundreds of charities, Olympic athletes, and bands on a route dressed with Union Jacks! Entries are accepted on a first come first served basis."
The above statement is taken from the official website and certainly outlines how popular and exciting this event really is! There are definitely runners from this year who are keen to secure places for 2009 as well as bringing in some fresh runners so it looks like things are hotting up already!!

2008 Review
This years event proved a great success, once again ,and a thoroughly enjoyable race.
Huge thanks to Diane Elvers of CAN who managed to congregate almost everyone together,extremely well, and get down through the crowds to the start!! Well done Di!
Obviously everyone ran their own timed race and finishing times were a 'great result' for all involved. Lots of tired and happy faces!! ( and no injuries either!!! )
Well done to all involved for all your hard work, commitment, training and sponsorship. Thanks from all at CAN!
